Connecting Classrooms
Connecting Classrooms is an international school partnership programme, managed by the British Council and jointly funded with the UK’s Department for International Development (DfID). The programme runs in over 50 countries.
Connecting Classrooms is just one of the British Council’s many active projects. It provides a global perspective to education through international school partnerships, professional development for teachers and school leaders, and ICT training.
The aim of Connecting Classrooms is to give all young people the opportunity to succeed in a globalised society. Connecting Classrooms enables students and their teachers to:
- understand issues of worldwide importance
- gain a sense of social responsibility
- develop skills needed to succeed in the global economy.
